InSphero CSO Dr. Madhu Nag Appointed to SLAS Board of Directors

InSphero, the global leader in scalable and reliable 3D in vitro cell culture solutions for drug discovery, is proud to announce that Chief Scientific Officer, Dr. Madhu Nag, has been appointed as a member of the Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening (SLAS) Board of Directors, serving a three-year term starting January 1, 2025. Dr. Nag will also take on the role of Board Secretary.
Dr. Nag brings over two decades of expertise in developing New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) and advancing 3D in vitro technologies. Her distinguished career includes leadership roles at NCATS/NIH, FDA, Day One Biopharmaceuticals, and her current position at InSphero, where she leads a team of experts in 3D cell culture solutions for drug safety and efficacy testing.
A passionate advocate for the integration of biology with technology, Dr. Nag has been an active member of SLAS since 2002. She has contributed as a presenter, workshop organizer, and educator. Her appointment reflects her commitment to innovation and fostering the next generation of leaders in laboratory automation. “I am honored to join the SLAS Board and work alongside brilliant scientists to enable and build on the wonderful work that has already been established,” commented Madhu Nag.

Dr. Nag will join fellow SLAS board members and industry leaders to shape the future of laboratory automation and life sciences innovation. She will attend the SLAS Annual Meeting in San Diego, January 25-29 2025, along with 3D Cell Culture experts from InSphero.
